Splash Project

A series of new intuitive acrylic pours on canvas; an uncontrollale diluted paint in an artistically manipulated motion; a constant push and pull, my dance with water...

New York Project

These playful collage series was inspired by my visit to New York City in the winter of 2010. I was visiting my daughter Leatt when a snowstorm hit the city. What a beautiful sight! Central Park and the streets of Manhattan were full of dark and light contrasts. I was lucky to stay at the Cooper Square Hotel, in the lower east side of the city. I had a corner room on the 17th floor that was decorated in white, and had large glass windows. The city lay beneath me as snow was hitting my windows. I didn’t want to leave my room it was so beautiful. At the time, I couldn’t stop taking photos, not yet knowing what I would do with them. Upon returning to Los Angeles, I was inspired to create something new that conveyed my feelings and my experience on that winter vacation.
